Introduction
In our journey toward financial success, our mindset is our most powerful tool. In “The Psychology of Wealth: How Your Mind Impacts Your Financial Success,” we delve into the essential mindset, beliefs, and work habits needed to succeed in business. This article will guide you through understanding how your thinking shapes your financial reality, and how by working smart, you can not only achieve your business goals but also create a wealth-oriented mindset. Your road to financial success starts with a single thought.
Section 1: The Wealth Mindset Basics
Defining the Wealth Mindset
First of all, you need to be determined to make it. You need to be destined. You need to have a clear goal, broken down into a clear plan. Visualize the life that you would live, if your plans would work out every day (The car you would drive, the house you would have or even the women you would date), while not telling your plans to anyone (Except your business partners ofc).
If you do so, you will start to feel a desire to achieve your goals. Now if you tell everyone your plan, you explaining it will release dopamine, similar to actually achieving your goals. You don’t want that.
If you’re determined to make it and put in the work you will eventually make it.
Let’s get to some important believes
Risk
You need to understand that you need to take risks to become financially free.
You need to stop thinking about risk as something bad. Think about it this way:
If a trained climber is climbing a dangerous mountain, it may even be relaxing to him,
while your already scared by just watching.
In conclusion, risk is an illusion. An illusion which you need to treat with respect, but not fear.
Confidence
You need to be confident in everything you do. Let’s look at soccer for example: If Ronaldo has to take a penalty at the last second and the score is 0:0, he already sees the ball in the net seconds before he even shoots. This is coming from a high tier athlete, so I know what I’m talking about.
We’re literally trained to have that vision, since it is essential to achieve our goals.
The same counts for business. If you are 100% in on whatever business you may start, and you truly believe it will work, then it will.
Emotions
Do not confuse emotions with business. You can be sad / angry or whatever after you work.
In business we have to constantly make the best decisions and you can’t let emotions influence the decisions you make. The best example here is trading: You can be down 20% one second and 100% up the next one. If you trust yourself and don’t let your emotions influence your decision making, you’ll make 100%. If you do let your emotions influence your decision making, you will make -20% and be angry afterword’s, because you lost a bunch of money (which will lead to more stupid decisions and more money being lost).
Section 2: Put in the work
Listen, you’re (most likely) still young and even if you’re not, you’re not the best version of yourself yet. This means, that you do not have to show anything off, chase women or tell everyone “how much” you’re working. For now, put your head down and just work.
Quit drinking, quit nicotine, quit p0rn and quit mindlessly scrolling on tiktok for hours.
It’s okey to show off results after you succeeded, but not for now.
First of all, you need motivation. Motivation is what keeps you working for the first few weeks.
Afterword’s, you need discipline. For me, the way to keep myself working is either reviewing my dream and asking myself whether what I’m doing right now is getting me closer to it or not, or to ask myself, if the best version of myself would be doing, what I’m doing right now.
I’m essentially chasing the best version of myself, which will ultimately lead to me becoming him.
“Do it sad, do it angry, do it heartbroken, do it happy, do it unmotivated – do it anyway.”
Once you see the first results, it becomes a lot easier, but it’s essential that you don’t quit, if you stop seeing results.
The first business I started was an affiliate marketing business. After the first few weeks of running my business, I had made about $20. The next three weeks, I barely saw any results, which lead to me shutting down the business. Looking back, I could have made a lot more money if I had sticked to it, considering that I had made sales that quickly. I advertised everything on sm, which meant that I would have grown exponentially.
How to work
1. Eliminate distractions.
Uninstall tiktok right now. (except you need it to advertise, but in that case you ONLY use it to advertise)
Uninstall youtube, if you need to watch some sort of tutorial, do it on your laptop or whatever device you’re working on, and use the website.
Uninstall Instagram (Except for marketing purposes)
Uninstall twitter
…
SM fries your dopamine receptors, which leads to you not being able to do anything which takes longer then 20 seconds to send out dopamine into your brain.
SM also ruins your attention span, which makes you unable to focus for long enough to work on your business.
Keep your phone away from you while you work. Put it on airplane mode and set clear work periods.
Set a timer for 1.5h, or for as long as you can efficiently keep on working, and just work.
No distractions, no music (except deep focus music, rain sounds, etc.).
Either get yourself some juice, coffee or water to drink and stay hydrated while working.
2: optimize.
Get rid of unnecessary distracting lights (LED and stuff), get yourself some sort of good keyboard, mouse and mousepad as well as a good monitor (optionally a second one). Or simply buy a good laptop and mouse.
Keep your setup clean and good looking.
3: Deal with stress.
It’s important to not get overwhelmed by your life, since you will have to spend time building your business.
I always visualize what I’m working for and enjoy the feeling after getting the work done, which is enough to get me running.
If you need help with that, we have a whole e-book written by one of my brothers, about stress management.
